Connacht (West) - Benwiskin Center - C/A

The Benwiskin Centre is one of the most ideally situated holiday hostels in Sligo. Set in the shadow of Benwiskin Mountain Sligo, part of Irelands Dartry Mountain range, with the Sligo coastline a short distance away, the Benwiskin Centre invites those looking for hostels in Sligo to come and experience the beauty of the North West of Ireland.

The centre is an ideal base for yourself, family or group to explore the North West. It is a 26 bed Holiday Hostel and Self Catering Accommodation Centre in a rural village called Ballintrillick, which is in North County Sligo.

Ballintrillick Environmental Group opened The Benwiskin Centre in July 2000. The basic premise of the Centre is that it is a Community Centre in the wintertime with classes, functions, entertainment and a place for the local community to use for meeting and socials. It is a Tourist Hostel for the summertime, which is the main revenue generator for the building. In reality, over the past 8 years they have found that they actually have guests all year round. Depending on visitors staying, they also have community usage in the summertime too. It’s a fine balance trying to accommodate both!
