Munster (South) - Heart of Burren Walks - TO

Heart of Burren Walks are based in the east of the Burren which serves as an excellent base for the exploration some of the most unspoilt and spectacular scenery in the west of Ireland.

They celebrate the floral diversity, extraordinary archaeological wealth and unique agricultural system of the Burren.

Their walking groups are deliberately small in number in order to make as low an impact as possible on the terrain.
They offer half-day and day long guided walks of some of the more remote and beautiful parts of the Burren. The guide Tony Kirby’s reading of the landscape is passionate, informed and humorous. The walks are punctuated with incisive commentaries on the archaeology, botany, fauna, geology, agriculture and folklore of the most precious and delicate terrain in the North West of Europe.

The Burren is officially defined as a region in a phase of depopulation.
For this reason Heart of Burren Walks use local resources and service providers wherever possible.
